Licensing Agreement:
This program falls under the same licensing agreement as
explained in the documentation for the Mailing List Manager and the
Verifier Door. Due to the shortness of this documentation, I will not
redisplay it here, but this note serves at notice for you to read the
legal agreement in the other documentations.
What the program does:
This program will give you a registration number for a name you
type in at the prompt. To End the program, just type 'QUIT'. Then
entry of names is not case sensitive, so 'Lance Williams', 'LANCE
WILLIAMS', 'lance williams' or even 'LaNcE WiLlIaMs' will give the same
registration number.
The program is good for testing registration numbers to be sure
you have your system set up properly.
How to start the program:
USER-REG.EXE requires one command line parameter. That is the
name of the configuration file for the VERIFIER door. The program will
default to VERIFIER.CFG if no parameter is given. The format of the
configuration file is explained in the documentation for the VERIFIER
door.
USER-REG.EXE required the existence of BRUN45.EXE in a
subdirectory found in your PATH statement. All of the programs in this
package require the MicroSoft Run-time library BRUN45.EXE for
execution.
Well, this is a simple program, and I guess that covers it. I
used the program to have some of my current users check out the
registration part of the door. It will give you the registration
number for ANY name you type in, it does not check for user existence
or proper spelling, that is up to you.
